Chicago Spring

   The 2018 spring in Chicago wasn't a pleasant one. The range in weather from 25 degrees to a high of 60 degrees. It seems like the weather is bipolar you can wake up with snow flakes covering the grass and an hour later you will be sweating in your sweatshirt. In the past couple days the weather is starting look better. It makes the lewis campus alive again people outside doing homework and other activities. It makes mode of the campus brighten up!

Scares of Living on Campus

   When you first hear of living on your own as a high school senior. This idea sounds amazing, having your own space, don't have to deal with your parents etc. Then as the summer goes on you gather stuff you need to live on your own. This is when scares start to kick in. I have to do my own laundry , I have to make my own food, or I have to manage my meal card money so I don't run out. Let me tell you this is just the beginning. Just around two weeks before you move in it kicks in a little more. What if I don't get along with my roommate, what if I run out of money, what if I get locked out of my room, what if I forget something how am I going to be able to get it. Before you know it, it's move in day hundreds of cars lined up all across campus. Have zero clue where your dorm is. Dear Aunt Kim,  This is a letter that I will be telling you how in college writing 1 I learned and perfected my critical thinking, reading, and writing and composing in electronic environments. College Writing 1 I came not knowing what to expect. High school writing course were kind of a joke. They assigned papers to keep us busy, we couldn’t pick the topic, or length etc. I didn’t put much effort in these papers I thought if I write three pages on a random topic I don’t give a crap about I might get a B and I’ll be happy with that. I didn’t revise, or draft. If the papers are due on Monday, Sunday night I’m starting it. College Writing 1 has taught me to write early and often.
