Journal About My College Transition

My expectations for college was a decent work load, including baseball, homework, and social life. I was excited about meeting new people, living on my own, and playing baseball in college. I saw myself as a decent college student but needs to get better work ethic or organization. I felt like I was prepared pretty well with my curriculum in high school.  But, I wasn’t prepared is my time management and work ethic.
Fast forwarding to now college is going better than expected. A couple of surprises I received better grades first semester then I thought. Also, I didn’t intend to play a lot in baseball because of I’m a freshman but I have second most innings pitched out of all the freshman. One low point is that I slacked on my grades the beginning of 2nd semester. I have worked harder and set time in my schedule for school work.
My goals I have for next year is have a GPA over 3.3 and pitch more than I did this year in baseball. Also, I’ve learned that grades are the most important it will help with scholarship and internships.
